I'm Jonathan McMahon, a passionate and experienced graphic designer based in Glasgow, Scotland. With over 7 years of experience, I help businesses of all sizes create impactful and memorable visual identities. I specialise in logo design, typography (both classic and experimental), and print and digital design solutions. Whether you're a local startup or a well-established brand, I'm dedicated to crafting designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and strategically effective.

My journey in design began with a love for both digital and traditional art forms. After exploring fine art, I discovered the boundless creativity and flexibility of digital design. This passion led me to pursue a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Digital Media for Design, Print, and New Media at City of Glasgow College. Here, I honed my skills in typography, print design, and package design, igniting my passion for brand identity creation.

I further expanded my design skillset at Edinburgh Napier University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BScH) in Digital Media. During this time, I explored various areas of design, including motion graphics, 3D modeling, and VFX. However, my core interest remained firmly rooted in the fields I discovered at college: print, typography, and branding. This experience solidified my desire to pursue a career in crafting impactful visual identities.

My design approach often leans towards the artistic, prioritising visual appeal as a powerful problem-solving tool. I enjoy the tactile experience of analog design processes, such as sketching and drawing, before seamlessly integrating them into the digital landscape for further refinement. However, I also understand the importance of client needs and can adapt my approach to achieve the most effective results for each project.
